Early Recognition of Excellence

The American Hospital Association names Mercy to its "HealthCare's Most Wired" list for the first time.

 

 

 

2004

Our Original Name

Mercy Information Services Division (MISD) was created, centralizing information technology resources from around the ministry.

 

 

 

2007

Who We Are Today

MISD becomes Mercy Technology Services (MTS), unifying Mercy's business and clinical processes into a single business unit. MTS soon...

2008

EHR Early Adopter

In one of the largest strategic initiatives ever undertaken by our organization, Mercy becomes one of the earliest adopters of the Epic electronic health record.

 

 

 

2009

Beginning Our Journey to the Cloud

Partnering with VMware, MTS began building Mercy's private cloud. In 2018, MTS would become the first-ever health care VMware cloud provider.

 

 

 

2010

Pioneering New Models of Care

MTS opens the new Mercy Data Center in Washington, Missouri, enabling us to scale our infrastructure to grow along with Mercy.

2013

A Tradition of Innovation

2014

Epic's First Accredited Provider Partner

With its first Enterprise Connect accreditation, Mercy became the first provider in the world to be permitted to extend Epic's EHR system to other hospitals and health systems.

 

 

 

2016

Honored for Excellence

For our efforts to lower mortality rates, reduce surgical costs and improve clinical documentation, MTS was honored by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) with the Nicholas E. Davies Award of Excellence.

 

 

 

2017

Breaking New Ground

In addition to being named one of the country's Best Hospital IT Departments by Healthcare IT News, MTS was also honored for its trailblazing work in artificial intelligence by:

Best-in-Breed PACS Imaging

MTS launched its cloud-based PACS as a Service platform. Designed to deliver all studies and modalities through a single workstation, MTS' PACSaaS offers high-performance hosting and lightning fast medical image processing.

 

 

 

2019

Real World Evidence

Building off a series of research collaborations with global health manufacturing leaders, MTS announced its Real World Evidence Insights offering, which is designed to help medical suppliers and regulatory agencies improve devices and pharmaceuticals as a means of improving patient care.

 
 

 

Today, Mercy Technology Services is the information technology backbone for Mercy's 40+ hospitals,
300 clinics, nearly 30 client hospitals and 65,000+ EHR users.
