MTS History

Early Forays into Health Care IT

Mercy's first application, "Patient Accounting," is created, but in-house IT services were costly, and soon became outsourced.

An Agent of Change

Responding to increasing technology needs at the local level, Mercy pushes for systemic change by...

  • Upgrading its hospitals' network infrastructure.
  • Adopting comprehensive desktop device standards.
  • Establishing a single point of Internet access.

  • Building a clinical data repository.

Early Recognition of Excellence
